Oh dear. There are a lot of stories behind this one!
The first three have middle names that start with the same letter as their first name, like mine does (Colleen Clare).
Felicity Faith Merriman - I wanted an F name that sounded like something from the colonial times.
Kira (Kirsten) Katherine Larson - I have a cousin named Katherine, so I think it was after her
Josefina Jolene Montoya - It was originally Josefina Janelle because that was the only J name I knew at the time, but I changed it because I liked Jolene better.
Marie Elizabeth Lacaux Westoff (AGT10)- I thought they sounded nice together, and as she is a princess, proper. Lacaux because it is my favorite French last name and I couldn't bear to drop her original one when I found it.
Margaret Mildred Kittredge (Kit)- same as the book
Cristel Marie Harris (AGT21) - She was named after the singer Krystal Marie Harris, because she isnothing like her and it was supposed to be ironic
Lindsay (Linsi) Anne Lalaine Bergman - I picked Anne originally but then forgot about it. Trying to pick up the same-letter tradition, I chose Lalaine as I liked the name at the time (she was a girl on Lizzie McGuire). When I found Lindsay Anne Bergman written down somewhere, I decided to keep both. And she's always been Lindsay, not Lindsey, probably because my pen pal spells it that way.
Margaret Katherine (Kat) Kittredge (Kit) - I needed a reason for her to be called Kat, not Kit, so I decided everyone called her by her middle name, which was Katherine.
Kailey Anema - Kailey has never had a middle name, though Rose is starting to sound nice.
Samantha Jane Parkington - I figured she needed a short name to make up for the long Samantha. I also like the historical figure Lady Jane Grey, and Sam's favorite CD is Maroon 5's Songs About Jane. And of course there's Jane Austen and Jane Bennet (who Sam acts like). In the book I am writing her middle name is Janine because it sounds more princess-like, but I have always liked the name Jane.
Piper Elizabeth Alexandria Kattredge - she needed something outlandish as she was an heiress, but not too outlandish.
Sierra Jadyn Rabenson - my mom came up with her name. I believe Jadyn means peace in Hebrew.
Harper Lee Simmons - named after the writer, Harper Lee.
